Consultant Gynaecologist (Part-Time, Private Practice –Private hospital)

Type: Self-Employed / Limited Company (initially)
Days: 1–2 days per week (Tuesdays & Wednesdays preferred, with some Saturdays if available)
Day Rate: £500–£1,000 per day (depending on experience)
About the Practice
Our client is a leading figure in private women’s healthcare, offering a boutique and luxury patient experience with a focus on personalised, holistic care. The practice combines advanced gynaecological expertise with a wellness-led approach, supported by a small multidisciplinary team including a nutritionist and community midwives.
We are expanding and seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial Consultant Gynaecologist who shares our vision for innovation and excellence in women’s health.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and forward-thinking gynaecologist to join a growing private practice and play a key role in shaping its future direction.
The role will initially be based at A Private Hospital, with support provided to obtain admitting rights and establish insurance relationships.
You will have the autonomy to influence service development — from expanding scanning services to contributing to new women’s wellness initiatives and, in time, helping to launch a dedicated scanning centre within the Chelsea area Spa concept.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of gynaecological ultrasound scans, including transvaginal and IUI-related scans.
- Conduct consultations and minor procedures with a patient-centred approach.
- Take blood samples and ensure accurate documentation of clinical findings.
- Contribute ideas for expanding the practice’s women’s health and wellness services.
- Collaborate closely with the existing clinical and administrative team.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and care in a luxury setting.
About You
- Qualified Consultant Gynaecologist, GMC-registered, with UK experience (NHS or private).
- 15+ years’ experience desirable but not essential — we welcome talented clinicians with the right mindset.
- Highly skilled in ultrasound scanning and fertility-related procedures.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and collaborative, with the ability to bring innovative ideas to the table.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, and a positive, solutions-focused outlook.
- Female candidates are preferred due to patient demographics and service requirements.
- Enthusiastic about building a boutique, patient-focused private practice.
Remuneration & Terms
- Day Rate: £500–£1,000 depending on experience and scope.
- Engagement: Self-employed or Limited Company basis for the first year.
- Additional Details: Professional indemnity required. Consultancy agreement provided.
