Job Description – CQC Registered Manager Part time hours(Remote)

The Role
As our CQC Registered Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and overseeing all clinical governance, compliance, and regulatory processes to ensure the clinic operates in line with CQC standards and best practice. This is a unique opportunity to build policies, protocols, and systems from scratch, working fully remotely with flexibility, while collaborating closely with clinical leaders and the wider team.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Lead on all aspects of regulatory compliance, including preparing for inspections and maintaining “Good” to “Outstanding” ratings.

Develop and implement policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across clinical and administrative functions.

Ensure all safeguarding, risk management, and incident reporting frameworks are in place and consistently applied.

Build a robust system for monitoring quality, patient safety, and continuous improvement.

Provide governance oversight, including complaints handling, audits, and action plans.

Oversee training and compliance of all staff, ensuring mandatory training requirements are met.

Report regularly to the Medical Director and advisory board on compliance status, risks, and improvements.

Keep abreast of regulatory changes and update protocols accordingly.

Cultivate a patient-first culture of safety, professionalism, and excellence.
Requirements

Must be eligible and willing to be CQC Registered Manager.

Proven experience in healthcare management within a CQC-regulated environment.

Strong understanding of CQC standards, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements.

Demonstrable experience in building protocols, systems, and processes from scratch.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting, while remaining highly collaborative.

Experience in women’s health or private healthcare (desirable but not essential)
