Medical Secretary – Temporary and Permanent

If you have secretarial experience in private medical, we have a number of temporary and permanent roles within private hospitals and clinics. You must have Impeccable telephone manner, excellent communication skills and ability to think on your feet and multi-task.
Duties for Medical Secretary include:
- Being the first point of contact for calls from patients, hospital staff and GPs
- Ensuring professionalism and excellent customer service at all times
- Patient billing, approving invoices, ensure pricing and theatre costs are accurately captured
- Prepare and manage clinic and theatre appointments/lists
- Deal with referral letters and onward referrals
- Liaise with patients on all matters relating to the arrangement and organisation of appointments, referrals, correspondence, follow up, and any matters as delegated by the consultant
- Document management; dealing with all correspondence, typing, faxing, filing, scanning, archiving
- Ensure prompt and accurate audio transcription of all patient-related and general correspondence

Desired Skills & Experience for Medical Secretary:
- Medical Terminology course (AMSP)
- Previous experience as a medical secretary
- Audio typing experience, and 50+ wpm typing speed
- Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Outlook
- Experience of working within a private clinic or hospital
- GDPR knowledge
