Medical Audio Secretary – Private Orthopaedic Clinic
Our client is a private Orthopaedic Clinic based in central London, with a specific focus on hip, knee and lower limb. They are now looking for an experienced Medical Secretary.
Job Description Senior medical Secretary/ Audio typist to Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
Salary £32 000
Mixed secretarial role but 65-70% of role will be audiotyping.
Providing day to day bookings and administrative support.
Liaising internal and external hospital departments such as Radiology/ Theatre departments etc, to book appointments/ equipment when required.

• Familiarity with DGL/ Outlook
• Can-do attitude
• Budgeting skills
• Diplomacy and negotiation skills
• Good team player
• Excellent Audiotyping skills
• Knowledge of applicable Health & Safety regulations
• Sound basic IT skills and a good level of numeracy and literacy
General secretarial support include Practice management with regards to stationary, supplies…
Postage of letters, documents and parcels
Organisation and accounting of petty cash
Collection of postal mail and organisation / prioritisation of correspondence
Accessing emails and responding to emails in a timely manner
Cross-cover secretarial annual leave
Other secretarial and administrative duties as necessary
Organise investigations and collate results Arrange admissions, operating lists, tests, aftercare
Audio type letters, correspondence, operation notes
Maintain medical records and X-ray filing system Invoice patients / insurance companies
Chase payments where necessary
Filing, scanning, preparing notes and general admin duties
